Where Our Work Begins
The people I work with are already successful.
They have built businesses, lead organizations, created wealth, earned the respect of others, and accomplished much of what they once set out to achieve. From the outside, their lives often appear complete.
Yet many quietly recognize something they rarely discuss. Despite their accomplishments, they know there is more available. Not necessarily more money, more influence, or another achievement, but a richer way of living - greater freedom, more meaningful relationships, less unnecessary struggle, and a life that reflects not only what they have accomplished, but who they have become.
My work begins there.
I don't advise. Rather than offering answers, people begin to discover that many of the limitations they accepted as facts are actually habitual ways of thinking and behaving, not circumstances but the way we perceive them and the meaning we assign to them. Fear loses much of its influence. Communication becomes more authentic. Relationships deepen because they are no longer constrained by old ways of protecting oneself.
The result is not becoming someone different. It is becoming more fully oneself.
For more than four decades I have worked with leaders in business, finance, technology, healthcare, sports, philanthropy, and education. One principle has remained constant: As people become increasingly conscious of how they think and , communicate, effectiveness follows naturally—not only in business, but in every aspect of our lives.

The Commonwealth Fund
Ken Davidson’s understanding of people and how we all operate is exceptional. I met Ken in the late 1980s when he provided a months-long comprehensive communication program to my organization. Our work together at the Commonwealth Fund lasted more than twenty years and was extremely successful. I learned so much about myself and how to work effectively as a team member. Later when I became the VP of Administration at The Commonwealth Fund, I brought Ken in to work with our most senior management. We offered his Essentials of Effectiveness course to all our staff. It was a fantastic experience! I hope you will find his work to be as useful as I have.

Over the course of many years, Ken has consistently helped me master the necessary skills to create environments in which my company, my partners, my employees, and my clients thrive. The beauty of his work is that whatever I learn can be applied in all aspects of my life - work, family, friendships - you name it. His models and ways of thinking about communication, effectiveness, partnership, sales, and purpose provide a structure and a practical approach that simplify complex dynamics.
